Eurythmics frontwoman Annie Lennox is as much of an activist as she is an artist. As founder of non-profit organization The Circle, Lennox helps empower marginalized women and girls around the world.
Parlor Social is happy to be performing alongside some other great artists in The Circle’s music and poetry virtual show tomorrow, Thursday the 30th, 11am (LA)/ 2pm (NY)/ 7pm (London).
For the past few months, The Circle has been running a COVID-19 emergency appeal to raise money for the women and girls who have been disproportionately affected by the crisis.
The appeal is coming to an end this week and Parlor Social will be joining them to celebrate its success, and to help raise some more money for the cause.
The money raised for The Circle’s COVID-19 appeal is used to help these disadvantaged groups of women and girls by providing them with emergency parcels containing things like food and sanitary items, counseling, and refuge. Minimum recommended donations are only £5. https://thecircle.ngo
